The Final Presentation

Last semester, I have done presentation twice in the conversation class. Second presentation was final presentation. I could decide topic myself, but we have to select academic topic. We also could talk from 5 to 10 minutes. I talked about Japanese Women's Position.

 

I was very nervous, because I couldn't read anything. That's why, I practice many times, more than 10, and polished. The day of final presentation, Chinese students did that first. However, they spoke a long time. Sometimes our teacher asked questions and said her comments, so the longest student talked about 30 minutes! All Japanese students were surprised and we couldn't understand why Chinese students didn't care about time. That's why, Japanese students couldn't do presentation the day.

When I did my presentation, I was not nervous. I practiced every day, so I completely memorized my speech. I repeated in my mind that if I finish it, winter vacation will be coming. Finally, I finished it, and I was sure I succeed. My teacher said to me she hadn't know about it, and it was very interesting. Her word made me happy.

OUCHI CAFE

Today is not my day because I take Japanese literature class but misfortune I and my friendS was late 10 minutes. We went classroom but nobody were in classroom. We don't hear about canceled class and moving classroom. We didn't know what we should do so we visit academic affairs section. I explained about it but woman in charge didn't know. So we wrote attendance cards and we couldn't attend the class. Next period, I don't have any class so I wanted to do my homework but there were no computer available. I didn't have something to study so I made up my mind to watch DVD. In fact, I'd like to watch "Arietty" but it will broadcast tonight so I watched "Gedosenki". However my family except me are watching other DVD. I'm very sad so I'm writing blogs. Today's afternoon, 3th period, I went to classroom but I forgot that we had no class in this class. I was very sad because I take only 1 class today. I watched DVD again.

However lunch was difficult between usually. I went to "Ouch Cafe" with my friend. It was the first time that I visited there. This cafe is small but peaceful atmosphere. Food was delicious and not expensive. I'd like to go again.

Yesterday

Yesterday my first period class took 3 minutes because professor was sick. He came into our class and said "I am a sick and fever so I don't lecture today. But you can fill out your name and today's date in attendance card. "I was very happy because next class canceled too. I and my friends had no class in the morning. So we went to K'S in front of KGU. I could enjoy there. In this afternoon, I had a lunch with my friends and I watched Harry Potter with my friends in the library. I love Harry Potter series and I have all books and DVDs. When I watched it, I wanted to visit USJ. I'd like to go there really after I'll earn much money in the future.

Today's class

I take Japanese literature class. This class is teacher lecture about heike monogatari. Teacher read original story and explain about it. However at the last class, teacher said that from next time I'd like you to lecture. So I lecture today. I read original story and look up some words and persons. Moreover I  transfer modern language and read a book. This book was written by Tokuziro Toyokura. I could learn more. Today's class, I read original story. It was so hard but I'm happy to learn.

My part time job

I had a part time job last Sunday. I work to teach Japanese, English, social subject at cram school. That day is teacher's treaning day. That's way we don't have any classes. We confirmed and talked about process classes. Moreover we discussed students. Finally, we had trial class. It was very hard because students role were teachers. I was so nervous. I always teach 4 students per a class so trail class is difference between I am in charge of my class. However I learned a lot of things so I will put them to good use.

Soccer game

I watched soccer game yesterday. Japan team played with Cypurus. Starting member was Honda, Kagawa, Okazaki, Kakitani, Uchida, Kawashima, Konno, Endo, Nagatomo and so on. I was happy because my favorite soccer player is Kagawa. Okubo, World Cup's surprise mumber, relieve the second half. The result was Japan's win. Uchida score a goal. I was so happy but I wanted Okubo and Kagawa to success.

1-02a: My university life

Many students who are majoring in English lead a full university life, because they can study favorite subject they chose and university life is free. Students can study, part time job and relaxing in their free time. However second year student are busier than first year students.

Many students can't speak fluent English because they didn't practice enough to speak English. However almost students have dream, goal and aim. For example, to be a English or Japanese teacher, to work travel agency, to make foreign friends, to study abroad and so on. That's way a lot of students must not only do their homework but take TOEFL or TOIEC tests. They know that it is important for their future. They must study hard. Some student want to study abroad but those who can study abroad are only 15 or less. Moreover they must take 450 or more score and pass three tests. It is hard but they can get a great chance. There are a lot of exchange student from overseas. Students can make foreign friends in this university. If students want to study abroad as exchange student, they can chose countries for instance USA, Canada, England, Australia, China and so on. 

Almost students who are majoring in English like English, western culture, music, movies and so on. Students can watch DVDs with their friends in library. Some students watch it in English. Furthermore we sometimes watch videos and study English literature in some classes. They who take the classes must write reports so they are busy. Of course they can study except English. They can study science, economy, history, culture and so on.

Students must study a lot and prepare to have job and work part time job. Life of university is busy and hard but fun. The reason is there are a lot of friends and students can study a lot.

Speaking English

I went to English conversation lesson in COCOzyuku because I'm not good at speaking English well. My teacher is from South Africa so he speaks British English. His English is slower than Japanese teacher's English. I can listen his conversation almost. However I cannot speak English. I'm sure that I need to practice more. When I will stay Canada, I want to talk in English to many people. I 'm going to go there.

Golden Week

I went to picnic with my friends. In fact it was the first time that I went picnic with my friends. My friends were same high school. I like to talk with them.

We met at Zyosaien. There were a lot of people. We didn't stay long but I want to go there one more time. We went to Ninomaru Park. The day was sunny! We are very hot. We sat under the big tree and ate lunch. One of my friends made obento herself. We bought at seven eleven. My friend study Home economics in Kumamoto Gakuen  university so she is good at cooking.I envy her and I think I will practice cooking, maybe. One of my friends bought globes, balls, and racket. We played sport. I don't exercise usually so it is hard for me. However it was the first time that I play catch ball. It was so difficult so very fun!! I think why I had never played such an interesting sport. I practiced, a lot.

After we played sports, we visited Kumamoto museum. We watched planetarium. It was beautiful but we were tired so we felt sleep. It took cost 200 yen. I was looking forward to see watching stars and planet but almost screen was appeared dinosaurs. We were very tired because we played activity for the first time in days so we slept.

I 'm happy to meet my friends and experience variety things. I feel that Golden Week was very short but I will start to study English again from now.

King Lear

I read King Lear today. This book was written by Shakespeare William. The reason why I read this book is I take English literature class every Wednesday. In this class, I watched Othello. Othello was written by him too. King Lear and Othello are famous tragedy. In fact, I don't like read literature. It was until I knew Othello that I didn't realize literature is so interesting.

King Lear's story is wonderful. He is tyrant and he tried to give his daughters his territories. However his three daughters said about love for King Lear. 2 sisters said good comment for their father but youngest sister don't say because she hated to say lies. Of course 2 older sister said lies. But King Lear didn't realize 2 oldest daughter's lie. Moreover youngest daughter disown by her father.

King Lear was bad person so his oldest daughters didn't handle their father. At least, Lear was became wanderer and crazy. The picture was so miserable. He requested helps for his youngest daughter. Of course she tried to help but she lose the war. Finally, youngest sister died and her father so sad.

I though the family's love is so fragile while there is love without saying. I became to like his books and I want read other his books.

A Trouble

I am going to study abroad in Canada this summer. I received acceptance letter from university in Canada. I am able to be accept as visiting student. This mail says please reply e-mail. That's why I tried to reply but I couldn't sent e-mail. My cellphone's display was said that you can't find user and ensure her address. I didn't have no idea why I couldn't send e-mail. I though my cellphone can't send to overseas. So I sent g-mail. I'm sure I could sent. But after 2 days, I received a notice which said that I couldn't find user. I want to reply early. I am very worry. I must receive letter because I will be must take Visa. I hope a problem is solve early.

Japanese Literature Reading

I took a lesson today's 1 period. I learned about Heike Monogatari. I didn't know well about it because era is from Heiann era to Muromachi era. My teacher teold me about especially Kiyomori Tairano, Yoritomo Minamotono, Yoshitune Minamotono and Goshirakawa ex-emperor. I'll write about them and my thinking.

Heiann era, at that time was aristocracy. However they struggled for power was aggravated and they used to solve not only consultations but military power.

That was why noblemen cooperated with samurai. At that time samurai's position was low. Gradually samurai was joined competitions. Most famous war is Heizinorann, I think. The most powerful family was Minamoto. Tadamichi Minamoto who joined hands with Kiyomori Taira competed with Tadazane Huziwara who cooperated with Yoshitomo Minamoto. Yoshitomo is Yoshitune and Yoritomo's father. As a result, Tadatane won. Of course, Kiyomori Taira who joined hands gained power.  However Yoshitomo Minamoto was killed and his sons were left to temple.

Kiyomori succeed in his life but noblemen was dissatisfied especially Mochihitoou. He is Takakura emperor's younger brother. However Takakura emperor married Kiyomori's dauther. Their son became crowned emperor. Mochihito was angly and he wrote a letter to subjugate Kiyomori. The letter could gatherd Yoritomo and Yoshitune. They are Yoshitomo, he lost to Kiyomori, son. Kiyomori and Taira family met with a misfortune. Kiyomori dead. His heir didn't success. Taira fell at least.

Then Yoritomo began Kamakura government. Kamakura was samurai government. He succeed as a politician. His younger brother, Yoshitune, played an active part in war. He was hero in Japan. However Yoritomo felt something repugnant about his brother's activity. After all, Yoritomo kept his mind to kill Yoshitune.


A famous story is Atakanoseki. After Yoritomo decided to kill his brother, Yoshitune run away. At Ataka, Yoshitune tried run away and appeared in disguise. However people who will kill Yoshitune saw through his disguise right away. And suddenly, His follower, Benkei, clubbed him. People was very surprised and impressed because follower clubbed and people felt Samurai soul. People overlooked Yoshitune. Benkei apologized Yoshitune but Yoshitune forgave and thanked for his action. Finally, Yoshitune and Benkei were killed but they are hero in Japan.

 
I learned history but It was until today that I don't know the detailed. I'm happy to learn a lot of things. However my teacher gave us many homework. It make me sad.

Histry of the Meiji Era

I have a part time job at a cram school as a teacher. I teach Japanese and social studies. My students studies about the  Meiji era now. In fact, I'm surethat the most interesting era is Meiji. There are some reasons.

First reason , Meiji was turbulent era. From the Kamakura shogunate to the Tokugawa shogunate, samurais is center of government. However,great and famous people such as Takamori Saigo,the boss samurai of the Satsuma clan, Ryoma Sakamoto and so on changed Japan. For instance, government authority came back the Imperial Court. This is called the restorotion of imperial rule. Almost samurai lost thier works. Some famous samurais became statemans. Other some samurais became professer and police men. There were good point. It is begining a election. In those days, those who can vote were only rich men. However I thin this is the first step Japan to be democracy.

The end of the Edo Era, Perry Matthew Calbraith came Japan . Almost people especially samurai think Japan invaded other countries. Japan had closed the country long time so Almost Japanese didn't know Western culture, weapons, language and politics.Of course, there are men who learned abut West countries but a few. Japan opened country. At the same time, men with a broad outlooktook action.

Last year, Sakura of Yae was broadcasted NHK.Just then I became to be interested in history.  A heroine is Yae. She live live from the end of Edo to  the begining of Meiji. Her father was samurai and her brothers were samurai too. However her young brother and father dead  in war. Yae was in Aizu-han. Aizu guarded Kyoto where the emperor was. Of course Aizu successed. However  Aizu was on the verge of crisis before realized it.At least a lot of people who lived Aizu became enemy of the emperor. Aizu put up a good fight including Yae. She did battle with using a gun. It was rare that woman join the war. However she demonstrated her leadership. I think she is very cool. After war, she learned English and Christianity. Moreover she visited a battlefield as a nurse. She had much trouble, sad experience but she live storong.

Those who lived in the Meiji era were respecrable person. And they changed Japan with their the risk of her live. I want my students who study in my cram shool to know and learn about it.

A movie and Music

   Today, I watced a DVD. This is " Hawl's Moving Castle" It is until recently that I wasn't interested in it. However my sister loves Jiburi movie which are created by Hayao Miyazaki so she watches Jiburi movie every weeked. Moreover she rent music which are used in Jiburi movies at CD rental shop. She has rent normal music, classic version and orgel version. I could't understand her because classic music make me sleepy. However my sister said " When I hear Jiburi music, I can so relax."

   When I came home, my sister watched DVD. She watched " Hawl's Moving Castle" with doing her homework so I watched with her with reading newspaper. And then I was completely absorbed in watcing TV. I was surprised what this movie is very interested, beautiful and wounderful! Now that in listening to Haul's Moving Castle music, I'm happy.

Soccer World Cup

Today, I watched a news about World Cup Trophy come Japan. I like watching soccer games on TV. I have never watched games live, so I want to go to Germany, England someday . In Germany, there are a lot of famous Japanese players. For examle, Makoto Hasabe, Atuto Utida, Hiroshi Kiyotake, Moe Hosagai, Takashi Inui and so on belong Germany teams. In England, there are Maya Yoshida and Shinji Kagawa. I like Shinji Kagawa in particular.

In March 5, Kirin Challenge Cup took place in Japan. Zac Japan play a match against NZ and Japan team won! I was very happy because Japan team won and Shinji Kagawa made a goal. It had been 176 days since hie made a goal. Moreover I watched the first time that he scored in a penalty shoot-out. He looked happy.

This year, Soccer World Cup is going to hold in Brazil. I envy soccer players because they can visit around the world. However, when Zac Japan played a match with North Korea , they were terrified. This is because the hotel where they stayed, there were a lot of mirror and guards. Some Japanese soccer players stayed same rooms. Some Japanese players went to the same bets. If I were a soccer plaer, I go to the room where Shinji  Kagawa stay. But I'm uneasiness. After all I go to Eiji Kawashima who can speak 8 languages with Shinji Kagawa.

Next game will be hold in May.  Now some principal players injure, and I'm worried. However new substitute players will be able to play. I'm looking forward to watch it. Honda, Kagawa and Okazaki are playing an active role so I'm sure Japan will win!!

A Story Of Prof. H.

Today, I heard an interesting story, in 4th period class. my teacher, Brof. H., said to us that a story about when he worked in high school as an English teacher.

The high school where he worked was leading an unsettled and his students didn’t like studying. One day, a student was having lunch in his class. He didn’t bother but from his viewpoint, he was in a position of leadership. He said him that stop eating. The student grabed a person by the collar and he tried to hit. My teacher didn’t have no idea what he should did. However he cry for help!! ( Almost students in my class and my teacher laughed then.)  And another teacher from next class came to help him. The student was expelled from his high school.

After short time, my teacher met the boy. He said that Hi, I haven’t seen you! My teacher said us in class that I realized the boy was good student. When he told the story, he looked very happy and laughed.

I’d like to get a teacher’s certificate, so I’m happy to hear this story.  The teacher told us that teacher can learn a lot of things wherever.
